Aims and Scope

Aims and Scope of Crossroads
Crossroads is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and promoting excellence in academic research across diverse fields. The journal’s key aims and objectives include:

(a) Advocacy for Interdisciplinarity:
Crossroads champions interdisciplinary research that bridges the boundaries between academic fields. We seek to encourage innovative inquiry that integrates methods, perspectives, and theories from different disciplines, enriching the understanding of complex global, social, cultural, technological, and environmental issues.

(b) Commitment to Open Access:
In line with global best practices, Crossroads is dedicated to Open Access publishing, allowing unrestricted and free access to its content worldwide. We believe that open knowledge empowers global collaboration, equity in education, and inclusive academic participation.

(c) Platform for Diverse Scholarship:
The journal serves as an inclusive space for researchers, practitioners, and academicians from varied disciplinary backgrounds to publish high-quality research, essays, reflections, case studies, and reviews. We particularly encourage work that demonstrates intellectual rigor and socio-cultural relevance.

(d) Encouragement for Emerging Scholars:
Crossroads actively nurtures emerging voices in academia by offering guidance on research methodology, peer-reviewed feedback, and opportunities for publishing in a globally accessible platform. We provide editorial mentorship to early-career researchers to ensure academic standards are maintained without discouraging innovation.

(e) Integrity, Originality, and Ethical Publishing:
We maintain strict ethical standards, adhering to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. The journal has a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism and upholds rigorous peer-review processes to ensure the integrity, originality, and credibility of every submission.

(f) Promotion of Critical and Reflexive Inquiry:
The journal encourages submissions that critically examine prevailing paradigms, question traditional assumptions, and engage in reflexive thinking. We believe scholarship must be both thoughtful and transformative, rooted in ethical responsibility and social awareness.

(g) Global Dialogue and Inclusivity:
While the journal is based in India, Crossroads is international in scope. We seek to foster global conversations by welcoming submissions from scholars across geographies, cultures, and linguistic backgrounds. We are especially interested in work that highlights underrepresented perspectives.

(h) Embracing Digital and Contemporary Methodologies:
We encourage the use of new media, digital humanities, data-driven analysis, and hybrid methodologies. Interdisciplinary inquiry in the 21st century must embrace the digital turn and explore the interplay between tradition and technological innovation.
